The new development in the Keilaranta area of Espoo, integrates a hotel tower, a congress center, and a timber office building. The Keilaniemi office and hotel block will be built on a reclaimed land plot south of Valovirta Street, both near the Keilaniemi metro station and the Jokeri light rail terminus.

Landmark Tower Hotel

The 34-story hotel tower will feature approximately 450 rooms, while serving as a landmark in the area. The façade design of the hotel tower follows the principles of high-rise construction established by the City of Espoo. The lower floors form a podium that emphasizes open façades and a pedestrian-friendly scale. The tower’s slender form, combined with the articulation of its façades, creates an impression of a structure that lightens as it rises in the spirit of modernist simplicity.

Sustainable Timber Office Building

Designed in collaboration with Snøhetta, an 8-story timber office building adjacent to the hotel on its western side will offer uninterrupted sea views, providing a sustainable and inspiring workspace. The building is centered around a south-facing atrium, which serves as a vibrant communal hub. All floors have access to the atrium via a sculptural main staircase, creating informal meeting points that encourage casual conversations, collaboration, and dialogue. The office building will connect to the hotel through a lower structure, integrating the two facilities into a unified whole.

Vision of Urban Synergy

The block is envisioned as a cohesive entity, in which each building element complements the others to create both functional and operational synergy. This holistic approach fosters a complementary relationship between the hotel, the congress center, and the office building, equally supporting their individual purposes and enabling shared use and collaboration.
